In addition to her professional experience, Nicole has personally navigated the admissions processes for both private secondary schools and at the college level. As a mother of two sons, she deeply appreciates the journey that accompanies major life-stage transitions. With a supportive, compassionate, and student-centered approach, she aims to foster individual educational journeys that lead to lifelong success.
Nicole resides in Chatham, N.J., with her husband, sons, and three labradoodles. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, especially to Vermont or the NJ shore.
For nearly three decades, Dr. Engelke has devoted her career to teaching and leading in NJ and NYC independent schools. She has dedicated her professional career to assisting parents and students in overcoming academic stress and achieving academic success. Throughout her career in education, she has taught and tutored students from kindergarten to college, coached faculty on best practices, and led schools in implementing institutional vision.
Over the last ten years, in her roles as an independent school Division Director and Associate Head of School, Dr. Engelke has developed and shared practical strategies to help parents and students succeed. She has served on Admissions Committees and conducted applicant student assessments. With a strong belief that education should not place unnecessary stress on families, she is dedicated to equipping both parents and students with the tools to thrive academically and enjoy the educational journey.
